WHAT DO WE DO

The PKU and OTHER HEREDITARY METABOLIC DISORDERS Foundation, has been established with the aim of fighting against phenylketonuria and other hereditary metabolic disorders, providing help and social support to those affected and their families for the improvement of the quality of life, and in all those issues in which these disorders may have an impact, with the ultimate aim of seeking a better relationship between these affected and the environment in which they live, providing them with as many tools as possible to ensure their equal opportunities within society.

It is also the purpose of the Foundation to work to sensitize public opinion and the Administration to the problems of the treatment and prevention of hereditary metabolic disorders, as well as to promote scientific research on treatments that, on the one hand, allow to improve the quality of life of the sick and their family environment and, on the other hand, discover possible ways of partial or total cure for these diseases.
